Florida - Welcome

Hello and welcome back! So my next few blogs will be slightly different from before as they will be talking about my very exciting trip to what, perhaps, could be considered paradise for a wetland scientist. South Florida.

Why is it a paradise? Well its because of the vast areas of diverse and unique wetlands that are found there, some of which we visited. These include Mangroves, Cypress swamps and of course the Everglades.

Myself and four of my fellow wetland science students, 23 undergraduates of various disciplines and five members of Staff including Prof. Chris Freeman, Dr. Christian Dunn and Dr. Tim Jones were part of this 8 day trip from the 27th of February too the 6th of March.

Along our Journey we visited some fascinating places, met some interesting people and mingled with the wetlands elite. Below is an itinerary of the places we visited but please read on to join us on our trip.
